Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center Event Coordinator.
The purpose of the Recreation Center Event Coordinator position is to oversee all rentals and reservation contracts in the Recreation Center, including event setups and break downs.
This position will coordinate all aspects of marketing to promote and increase rental usage at the Recreation Center.
This position will function as a building supervisor, as needed, responsible for supervising staff, assisting with rentals and activities in other areas of the building.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.
Plans and promotes a variety of rentals, drafts weekly rental schedule.
Orients, trains, and instructs workers, including full time and part time employees and volunteers.
Prepares budget, monthly reports, and revenue generation estimates as a result of rentals.
Assists with the supervision and coordination of special events and programs at the Recreation Center.
Provides information to the public about all parks and recreation facilities; specifically focusing on the Recreation Facility rentals, by preparing information for the brochures, providing news releases, information bulletins, special announcements, posters, and other promotional materials.
Oversee and supervise building maintenance and custodial staff responsible for repairs and cleanliness of the Recreation Center by inspecting and reporting areas in need of attention.
Develop relationships with corporate businesses and the general public to increase rental utilization through various mediums including tradeshows.
Successfully achieve set monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue goals established by the Recreation Center ManagerRegular attendance required.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Recreation or closely related field required.
Two (2) years of experience in a recreation center reservation/rental position, or closely related field.
Ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire:
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License, CPR, First Aid, AED.
CPRP preferred.
